Program Design and Evaluations

What is program evaluation?

Evaluation is a process that critically examines a program. It involves collecting and analysing information about a program’s activities, characteristics, and outcomes. Its purpose is to make judgments about a program, to improve its effectiveness, and/or to inform programming decisions.

Why Evaluate?

Demonstrate program impact

Evaluation helps you demonstrate your program’s success or progress. What were the outcomes of the program? How much improvement did you get? The information you collect allows you to better communicate your program's impact to others, which is important for public relations, staff morale, and attracting and retaining support from current and potential funders.

Improve program design and implementation

It is important to periodically assess and adapt your program activities. What worked, what didn't, what can be improved?Evaluation can help you identify areas for improvement and ultimately help you realise the goals of the program more efficiently.

Program and evaluation design

When designing a program, it is useful to think about the evaluation as well, rather than adding it on at the end. A well-designed program and a well-designed evaluation can make a big difference. We know how to do this and we'd love to help you make this a success in your organisation. We believe in co-design, holistic and practical approaches, because they work.
